The La Torre Golf Resort is located in Murcia, which is a Spanish city situated on the southeastern side of Spain. The resort itself is located within a few kilometres of some of the best beaches along the Mar Menor Lagoon, which is separated from the sea by a sand bar. Thanks to the high level of salt in the water the lagoon is a great place for swimming and water sports.

This is the perfect destination for golfing enthusiasts; it is a purpose built complex with a wide variety of accommodation from apartments to villas. The resort has bars, restaurants, shops and a supermarket as well as a convention centre, with beautiful man-made lakes and not forgetting the 18-hole Nicklaus designed golf course.

Beaches – The Mar Menor beach is the main beach and in many ways one of the most popular, thanks to the excellent water sporting facilities on the lagoon. There is also a lovely sandy beach on the other side of the sand bar, as well as one located on the southern side. This has a totally different landscape to it and many of the beaches here are surrounded by rocky outcroppings.

Horse Riding – There is a stable, Rancho de la Fuente, only a few minutes drive away from the resort, in the town of Los Belones, which definitely is worth a visit. There are horses for adults and Shetland ponies for children and they cater for all ability levels. Your little one is sure to have a great time here.

Theme Parks – For a day away from golf, something that the kids will no doubt be begging for, there is Terra Mitica, which is located about an hour’s drive away in Benidorm. It also has a water park, which is open during the summer months, so it is a great location for a day out. There are parades in the morning with music and firework every evening, however the majority of the rides are not suitable for those under five.

Go Kart’s – There are two tracks nearby, La Manga Racing - Formula 1 Go Kart track and Gokarts Mar Menor, Los Alcazares with the former being dedicated to professional competitions. You are welcome to either watch or try your hand at the later go-kart track.
