Although there are few attractions within the town itself, it is still a pleasant place to enjoy a coffee or a glass of the local wine, and many of the original medieval streets and buildings are still standing.
The town's 13th century church is probably the most visited monument, aside from the charming old town itself. One of the fortified churches so common in this area, St Felix de Gerome is not known for its beauty or its opulent decoration, but is nevertheless a fascinating structure, with many historic takes and legends attached to it. Located in the heart of the picturesque old town, it also commands an impressive view over Lezignan-Corbieres and the surrounding region.
Wine is the other major attraction in the town, which is situated in the Corbieres wine region. Home to a museum about wine and wine making, there is also a cave in the town itself. Ideal for those “designated drivers” who also want to sample some of the local produce! There are several larger caves nearby, which also offer tours of the vineyards.

The towpath alongside the canal is now exclusively for the use of these two groups, while the countryside is also crossed by a network of paths that are a little more off the beaten track. Many trails take you to some of the nearby historic hilltop villages, so be prepared for a climb. A map of all the walking and cycling trails can be picked up from the town's tourist office.
Peyrepertuse Castle is one nearby attraction that is worth visiting. A ruined Cathar fortress built in the 12th century on a cliff top, it is nevertheless still an impressive structure today.
