The Balearic Islands are a group of five Islands off the east coast of Spain in the Mediterranean the main three Islands are Ibiza, Mallorca (Majorca) and Menorca.
The Balearic Islands excellent climate with 300 days of sunshine combined with wonderful beaches and a rich cultural heritage makes them one of the favourite tourist destinations in Spain.
Ibiza is the nearest Island to mainland Spain just 100 kms off the coast and has become the party capital of Europe but it has another side of traditional Spanish villages away from the main tourist centres.
Mallorca is the largest island and attracts some six million visitors a year including a large number of celebrities and royalty.
