Water World

One of the largest water parks in the United States, Water World Colorado offers a huge range of slides and thrill rides for all the family to enjoy. Some of the parks thrill rides include the Skyline Speed slides, which plunge 6 stories to the bottom or the Revolution sliding through darkness before being dropped into a large bowl before the big splash.

Heritage Square Entertainment Village

The Heritage Square Entertainment Village is an amusement park with various activities to choose from. The Alpine slide allows visitors to slide along half-mile tracks on a sled; the miners maze adventure land offers a large labyrinth to amuse those who choose to go inside. The village also offers a railroad and an amusement park area with Karting, a Ferris wheel, Mini Golf, an arcade and various other rides.

Elitch Gardens Theme Park

The Elitch Gardens Theme Park offers visitors a range of rides which twist, turn and thrill the riders, some twisting, rolling and turning at over 50mph. The park also includes its own water park with more thrilling slides and rides and there are various concerts held at the park throughout the year.

Denver Zoo

The Denver Zoo displays a huge range of animals; many are species that are endangered including the Amur Leopard and the Siberian Tiger. Other animals to which the zoo is home include Elephants, Cheetahs, Wolves and Giraffes as well as Reptiles, Birds, Fish and Invertebrates. The Zoo also offers special exhibits including Predator Ridge, which attempts to give a realistic view of Africa with large habitats and several species on display.

Breckenridge Peak Fun Park & Ski Resort

Breckenridge Peak Fun Park is a summer time amusement park with several rides and activities to enjoy including an alpine slide, a roller coaster which twists and turns through the forest, 4x4 tours, Trekking tours, pony rides, biking, mini golf and Gondola and Chairlift Rides, taking in the breathtaking views of Colorado’s mountains.

During the winter months the mountain becomes a ski resort with a range of slopes and difficulty levels for skiers of any calibre. Lessons are available for those new to skiing and there is fun to be had for all the family.

Garden of the Gods

The Garden of the Gods is a registered natural landmark and visitors can take van and jeep tours during the summer and soak up the stunning surroundings. The Visitor and Nature Centre displays various exhibits with information on the native American tribes that once roamed the area during the winter months. Another of the centres exhibits has information on a unique dinosaur fossil that was discovered in the garden during the 1800s.
