A charming self catering apartment - large swimming pool - safe for children -
Large brand new 2 twin-bedroomed apartment in stunning location near to beautiful harbour of Kyrenia in Northern Cyrpus. N Cyprus has 300 days of uninterrupted sunshine- relax in the air-conditioned apartment or with a glass of wine on the balconies kitted out with sun loungers and dining table/chairs, or in the warm swimming pool which has views over the Mediterranean and mountains. This is a child friendly apartment. It has everything from toaster to fridge freezer to washing machine, dishwasher too. Big open plan kitchen dining room, indoor seating for 6, both twin bedrooms have built in wardrobes views over the Five Finger Mountains, one with 2nd tv with Wii games. John Lewis cot available for child up to 24 months. Family bath/shower room, with fans and air-conditioning in every room Sandy beach within 10 minutes drive, golf course 15 mins, local supermarket within walking distance and local authentic restaurant.
Nearby beautiful harbour town of Kyrenia, is 12/14 mins drive away. Very inexpensive food in restaurants ranging from typical Cypriot food to fish/vegetarian restaurants. Watch turtles at nearby conservation site on sandy beach (Turtle Bay), scuba diving, swimming in the warm sea (most of the year the water is warm), lovely walks around the island - orchid walks in springtime (walking book in apartment),water park nearby, friendly locals, plenty of historic castles/abbeys to visit (Bellapais Abbey) (where Lawrence Durrell wrote 'Bitter Lemons'), also the Knight Templers castle towards the east of the island. Plenty of sun sun sun most of the year with clear blue skies. Enjoy meals around the Medieval harbour of Kyrenia with fresh fish caught daily.
The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, even a washing machine. Outside sun loungers on one of the balconies with dining table/chairs for 4 for outdoor eating. Morning and afternoon sun floods into both sides of the apartment. We can arrange collection from Ercan or Larnaca/Paphos to the apartment and arrange discount car rental. Car can be delivered to the apartment with maps. There are two swimming pools close to the apartment one with a poolside restaurant for lunches and/or dinner. .Apartment is in a quiet setting but, by car, within easy reach of many historical sites, beaches, golf course, beautiful medieval harbour of Kyrenia, restaurants and many activities included guided walks. Two tourist books in apartment and owner can give lots of info. There is a new pool side restaurant open for lunch time snacks and supper. Local supermarket and authentic restaurant also within walking distance. Free Wifi (own laptop) at poolside restaurant or there is a small charge to use their computer
Travel to Cyprus/Electricity/Climate/Currency.: Frequent scheduled and charter flights out of England to northern cyprus (Ercan). N. Cyprus has direct air links with Turkey where all planes must first touch down, you stay in the aircraft and then you take off again direct to Ercan (about 25/30 mins to apartment). Advice from the owner can be given about the cheapest flights directly to Ercan. Flights also go from England to Southern Cyprus (Easy Jet into Paphos and Larnaca) From Larnaca, its about 45 mins and from Paphos its takes 1 1/2hrs Can arrange airport collection/car hire. Electricity: 240 volts. Plugs are in English standards.Climate:Climate: The island is typical Mediterranean. It has dry, long summers and warm, short, winters. Cyprus has an alround sunny climate. Temperatures begin in January, February, and March with averages of 15, 17 and 21c and climb to 30c in the summer time. October has average daily temperatures of 25c, November has 23c and December has a pleasant temp of 17c. T shirts can be worn during Dec.
nearby attractions: Kyrenia/Bellapais/Nicosia: With its Venetian castle and picturesque harbour, plus the backdrop of the Bespmark (Five Finger) Mountain, Kyrenia is one of the most attractive towns in northern cyprus. It offers the most magnificent scenery of the island. Kyrenia has a charming and tiny harbour, full of yachts and fishing boats. The castle has one of the oldest shipwreck's on display (estimated to be 2300 years old) found in 1965. Scuba diving lessons/trips can be arranged from the harbour area. Scenic evening cruises can be enjoyed too. Bellapais Village - the character of the abbey is breathtaking. The abbey is used for music concerts and plenty of walks around the village to delight the walkers. Nicosia (Lefkosa) is the capital of both north and south cyprus and is divided. It takes back 2,200 years to the settlement of Ledra. Many historical places to visit. Todays Nicosia offers lots of shops and an old bazaar for the shoppers. Northern Cyprus offers everything from a quiet holiday to a busy active one.
local supermarkets: There is a local supermarket (within walking distance) in the centre of the village which sells everything including lovely fresh bread daily. Local Lemar Supermarkets have lovely home-made mediterranean-type food in the deli section when eating in and sell English newspapers.
Golf: For the golfers, there is a new 18 hole golf course at Essentepe, about 15 minutes from the apartment. In the summer, it is best to play early morning or late afternoon to avoid the hot sunshine. Please ask the owner about further details.

The balance is payable 8 weeks before departure plus £100 security deposit which is fully refundable once the apartment is left in good order. If the holiday is cancelled within the 8 weeks, the £100 deposit will be forfeited but the balance will be repaid
