Our Villa was completed in June 2002 and is located in a residential area next to Villamartin Championship Golf Course; an easy 30/40 minutes drive South of Alicante. It comprises of: on the first floor; a lounge with Satellite digital TV, a dining area with open style kitchen and cloakroom/WC. On the second floor, accessed via a marble staircase, are 2 x Air-conditioned twin bedrooms (one with direct access to a sun terrace through patio doors) and a large family bathroom. From the 2nd floor a further marble stairway takes you to the large roof sun terrace complete with sun furniture and small BBQ. The villa is freshly decorated and is fitted with Spanish tiling and marble throughout. The kitchen is complete with a washing machine, fridge, oven, hob, microwave and equipment for 4/6 persons. Our villa is situated on a nice plot with a garden and gated driveway. All linen/towels are provided. A nearby communal swimming pool in landscaped gardens is available for your use.
The local area is residential, so there are no high-rise hotels to cloud the clear blue skies. The area, like much of this part of Spain, is currently being developed and some building work is evident in the area, (but not on our Residencia). A pleasant 10-15 minute walk by the golf course brings you to Villamartin Plaza, which has a selection of shops, restaurants, bars and a well-stocked supermarket. The clear warm sea of the Med is an easy 7/8 min drive down the hill where you will find some lovely beaches (Some Blue Flag) and pleasant walks as well as other restaurants and bars.
A little further afield (20 mins) is the market town of Torrevieja.which is a medium sized town with many shops, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and a good market. This place is great for water sports and her international marina with the capacity for 1500 boats is always busy and its great to sit with a cold beer and watch life go by !
Villamartin Championship Golf Course has an abundance of olive trees and well placed bunkers, making it a challenging course for players of all abilities. If that was not enough to tempt the golfers, then within 5 mins drive we have another two !, Las Ramblas is a stunning, but short course featuring high trees, natural fairways and ravines. Finally, we have Campoamor, which is situated in two valleys with magnificent views and with a beautiful clubhouse to finish off the day !. For the hard to please a 30 min drive further south will bring you to La Manga the world famous golf resort with three 18-hole courses to choose
