Kermartin is a modern property all on one level surrounded by its own, very large garden. It has one large living/dining/kirchen space with views on three sides into the garden. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. A cot is available. Kermartin is situated in Central Brittany just under two hours drive from Roscoff and St. Malo ports and the airports of Brest and Dinard. The property is a modern house, all on one level and therefore suitable for the less able. It is not totally wheelchair friendly due to doorsteps. Situated close to the historic town of Gouarec, the house is within 5 minutes walk of local shops, boulangeries, chemist, banks, post office, bars and restaurants and crazy golf. The Nantes -Brest canal is just 2 minutes walk away giving leisurely walking and cycling along the towpath. The cottage is surrounded by its own, extensive well maintained gardens of more than an acre suitable for sunbathing and dining outside. It has terraces to the south and west affording sunshine most of the day. The famous Lac de Guerledan, the largest man-made lake in Brittany, is only 5 minutes away by car where you can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports. It has bars and restaurants on its shores and has many safe, sandy beaches with children's play areas. Also close by is the Abbaye de Bon Repos where there is a spectacular sound and light show in August, see the Abbaye de Bon Repos website for dates and further details. The towns of Pontivy and Quintin are close by and both have good a street market (Pontivy Monday and Qintin Tuesday) and a chateau open to the public in high season.
