| The complex was only completed last year and was designed by one of Turkey's foremost architects. Turgutreis is on the Bodrum Peninsula approx 20 minutes from Bodrum Town and 45 minutes from the airport.
The complex consists of 60 apartments sharing a substantial pool with sunbeds and umbrellas. For the energetic there is a well equipped gym, for those looking to relax, the complex is set in a peaceful location with bar, showers and w.c's set around the pool. Views from the pool are lovely, you can see Turgutreis town and the sea to the Greek Islands and watching the sun set from the pool with a glass of wine is spectacular.
Next to the complex there is a 5 star hotel, The Hawthorn. Visitors to our complex are able to use the restaurant of the hotel along with the beauty spa.
The apartment itself is exceptionally spacious with more than enough room for 6 people. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes with linen and towels provided. The master bedroom has an ensuite with a shower big enough for 2, wc and sink. The second bedroom has single beds. The family bathroom has a full sized bath with shower over, sink and wc.
There is a utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board and cleaning utensils.
The lounge is very large with a fully fitting kitchen, dining table and chairs and sofa bed and arm chairs. Patio doors lead from lounge and both bedrooms onto the large terrace where there is a patio table and chairs. We have provided 2 Turkish floor cushions.
The apartment is a few steps from the pool where you can enjoy a Turkish Tea from the bar and Mushtah will cook you whatever you would like. The complex has 24 hour security.
There is a dolmus (minibus) that runs from close to the apartment into town, the timetable is posted at the entrance to the apartments and are very cheap. Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. There is a dolmus station in town that runs to Bodrum, Gumusluk, Yalikavak and many other places.
Boat trips can be booked from the harbour. The new multi million pound marina is next to the old town and has many designer shops, bars and restaurants. You will be spoilt for choice in the old town with numerous bars, restaurants and shops. The beach runs alongside the town and sunbeds and umbrellas are free. The Saturday market is very impressive, with a huge array of goods on sale. Haggling is expected.
Turgutries is predominantly a family and couples resort. There are too many bars and restuarants to visit on a 2 week holiday but no clubs although there are some lively music bars with Sky TV.
