Not far from ocean sandy Beaches and Golf course-30 minutes drive from house. There are number of medieval nearby towns to explore : Knight's Templars city of Tomar, Coimbra ( Portugal's equivalent to Oxford ) and Fatima ( Portugal's Lourdes). Located only just over 1,5 hours drive from Lisbon or Porto airports house makes ideal base to explore rich history of this part of central Portugal.
Fly to Lisbon or Porto, Hire a car and drive straight from airport on the easy accessible motorway A1 to Coimbra town, then drive 20 minutes into the country to the house.
Alternatively you can take the frequent high speed Intercity train from either of the airports to Coimbra town, then take taxi at euros 30 to the house.
