Private Parking | Adventure Park – from May to October each year (5 mins from Apt) an adventure for all ages between 8 and 88! There are 77 different activities for all you Tarzan lovers out there!
Canyoning - All summer in the canyons of Mont Perdu. Courses offered during July and August.
Caves – explore the wonderful Grottes de Betharram and cross the large underwater lake by boat, where a train awaits you to complete your round journey.
Churches – there are many churches in the Pyrenees mountains which are well worth a visit. The interior art work is spectacular with some dating back to the Roman times.
Cycling - the Pyrenees mountains attracts many amateur and professional cyclists. Bicycles can be rented locally. Eagle & Wild Bird Show – at the town of Beaucens. Here you will see an extraordinary collection of Birds of Prey (over 45 species), set within a historical site (restored XIth century castle overlooking the valley and mountain range).
Fishing – the largest network of rivers and waterways in all of Europe, linking the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Fishing is strictly monitored under the control of the Conseil Regional and a license is easily obtained.
Golf - there are many year round golf courses in the Pyrenees, most within an hour’s drive from Genos-Loudenville.
Hydro Spa/Balnea – with the ideal environment for relaxing and de-stressing - a wide range of facilities, including private hyrotheraphy cabins, mud baths, massage, facials etc.
Horse Riding/Pony Trekking – there is an equestrian school located at Ville-Aure which offers leisurely treks for the raw beginners through to the most accomplished riders alike.
Hydro-speed and Rafting - these activities are part of the summer season fun and can be booked via your local Office du Tourisme.
Kayak - Kayaks can be rented at the Genos lake-side during the summer season.
Lake Genos – the lake is just a 4 minute walk from the apartment and has many seasonal activities - sailing, pedal boats, kayak and canoe rentals.
Lourdes - In 1858, in a grotto near the town of Lourdes, Our Lady appeared 18 times to Bernadette Soubirous, a young peasant girl. Lourdes is just 40 minutes drive from Genos-Loudenville.
Morning Markets - there are many morning markets to choose from but our 2 favourites are in Arreau (Thursdays) and Lannezeman (Wednesdays).
Paragliding (locally known as Parapente) – glide your way from the mountain top to the village. Hire of equipment and training is available from a number of local companies.
Pic du Midi - Take a cable car up 2877 meters to the most spectacular observation point in the world!

Swimming – during the Summer months the Ludeo (outdoor pool with water slides) The pool is located 4 mins walk from the apartment, next to the lake where many enjoy a fresh water swim also.
Tennis – there are 6 flood lit tennis courts next to the lake – again within walking distance from the apartments.
Toulouse – this region cannot be visited without spending at least a day touring the amazing city of Toulouse. It is packed with historical buildings, great shops and buzzing cafe's.
Walking – the mountains offer a wide range of walks with the most picturesque scenery. There are trails of various levels which are clearly marked as you walk.
White Water Rafting - Full details on these companies can be found at the local Office du Tourisme.
Wine - some local farmers make their own wine and have formed a co-op from where they sell their produce. 5 litres of wine will cost approx Euros 6!!
