The accommodation,which in the main is on one level,comprises of two bedrooms,one a double,the other a twin. There is a Z bed available if required,so can sleep upto 5 in comfort. The bathroom has a wc,hand basin and shower cubical. The kitchen runs off the lounge ,gally style,and has everything you will need for 6 people. The large lounge has a lovely old"French Style" fireplace with log burner for the winter lets,comfortable seating for 6 plus dining table and chairs. The satellite TV (Sky) has most if not all your English channels. Down stairs,in what we call the cave,you will find the utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer etc. We also have an iron,board and hair dryer. We have bedroom fans for the summer and heaters for the winter lets.
The area of Hautefort is set in breathtakingly beautiful scenery,and there is only a small amount of traffic. It abounds with natural lakes and rivers,where you can swim,fish or go canoeing. This area is ideally situated for exploring the wonders of the Dordonge,without going on a motorway!
The cities of Perigueux and Limoges are a short drive away,as are the tourist centres of Sarlat and Les Eyzies in the Vezere Valley,with it's wealth of prehistoric sites and cave paintings,last but not least you have the Dordogne river and valley.
Twenty minutes drive towards Perigueux brings you to the large shops,restaurants,hypermarkets,well worth a visit. The wine growing areas of Bergerac and Bordeaux are other day trips on offer.
