Situated 35 miles from Orlando International Airport, access is via the 1-4 Highway exit 58 (Champions Gate and Kissimmee).
Local facilities include:
Shopping at Champions Gate (5 mins.)- Publix Supermarket, Walgreens pharmacy, Subway, UPS store (post and internet), Beauty salon, Bank with ATM and Chinese restaurant, plus many other shops.
Walking and boating on Lake Madison (5 minutes walk away), with its wetlands conservation area.
Golfing at Champions Gate or Reunion (5 minutes by car).
Kissimmee (10 minutes by car) offers theatres, museums and the biggest choice of restaurants and shops you would ever need! The "old town" is very attractive, with its period architecture and laid back atmosphere. The most fashionable area is Celebration (15 minutes by car), with its designer shops and wonderful lakeside restaurants.
Further afield, Disney World, Universal Studios, Epcot, Wet n' Wild, Seaworld and Gatorland are within 10 to 30 minutes drive. Shopping at Florida Mall and the Prime Factory outlet are also nearby.
The Kennedy Space Centre (East) and Busch Gardens (Tampa, West) are around 1 hour away.
The house itself is south - facing, and built on one level, making it ideal for those with young children, or for the elderly and wheelchair users. We have installed a key-code box, meaning that on arrival, you simply put a code in and take your keys out - no travelling to an Agent to pick up keys (this can add to journey times).
As you can see from the photographs, it really is a "home from home", and all for the cost of a hotel room for 2 people!
