Set in the beautiful hillside area of Cumbre del Sol between the up-market towns of Moraira and Javea. The pueblo style villa is surrounded by unspoilt country and landscaped parkland with spectacular views to the sea. La Cumbre was part of the Cycle race, La Vuelta a Espagne in 2015 and 2016. It is a very popular area for cycling. There is 4g internet access.
The villa is convenient for the most important Mediterranean seaside resorts of Moraira, Javea and Calpe with Blue-Flag beaches nearby. At La Cumbre there is a supermarket, bank, medical centre/chemist, bar and a wonderful restaurant, all within walking distance of the house. Cumbre del Sol has wide roads, extensive lighting and a beautiful secluded beach. The beach is also a popular location for climbing, scuba diving and cave diving for the more adventurous visitors. Quad bikes and dune buggies can be hired at Moraira. There are a number of good golf clubs in the area and walks and horse rides can be taken in the adjoining parc natural reserve of Granadella. A longer walk takes you to the beautiful Granadella Cove. The large secluded pool is private with a locked gate. It is shared with neighbours but as most properties are owner occupied, invariably it is very quiet. The house has a large LED HD TV with Freesat and local TV as well as a DVD player.
The nearest local beach is the Cala Moraig with crystal clear water. It is located in an area of rugged coastline. At the foot of the impressive cliff Morro Falqui and Moraig fault, the beach recreates a paradise scenery. The qualities of the water and the environment, along with the services offered, have been recognized by the Blue Flag certification.
A point of interest in Cala Moraig is Cova dels Arcs, a magnificent aquatic cave carved by a Karst drainage system and the action of the waves that has chiselled two large arches over the sea. In its surroundings there is a great submarine appeal that has as a landmark the opening of the cavity of Riu Blanc (or Riu of the Moraig), which is possibly one of the largest underwater galleries in Europe. The beach restaurant also provides pedal boats; kayaking and other sports and leisure activities. There is a summer bus service to and from Moraig Cove.
The nearest golf is Club de Golf Oliva Nova.
