Welcome to our little piece of heaven in Spain.
The Farmhouse which is over 200 years old is set in a beautiful valley on the outskirts of El. Saltador village and has been extensively but sensitively refurbished to a high standard. The 18 inch walls and olive - wood beamed ceilings of the farmhouse still retain its original character whilst offering modern day comforts making the perfect setting for young and old to enjoy a holiday in Andalucia.
The Casa briefly consists of 3 doulbe bedrooms and family bathroom. There are also 2 double convertible sofa beds in the large lounge ideal for the kids to sleep on ( we have slept 10 people comfortably ) There are 3 terraces ( one covered ) and a private luxury swimming pool with sun loungers and chairs provided. The casa has all mod cons including a washing machine, range cooker, Fridge freezer, microwave etc. Sky television and DVD player.
A barbecue and utensils are supplied for that all important alfresco cooking.
The large bathroom has a bath and walk in shower cubicle.
All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided although we would request that you bring your own beach towels with you.
The coast is a pleasant 25 min drive away with a choice of secluded coves or more commercial beaches to suit all tastes.
The town of Huercal - Overa is a few minutes drive away with a good selection of Bars, Resturants, Supermarkets and shops and because its rural Spain the prices charged are Spanish prices and not the hyped prices charged on the more tourist coastal resorts. Every monday locals come from surrounding towns and villages to shop in the market which is held in the centre of the town
Throughout the summer the Casa is kept cool by the thickness of the walls whilst in the winter traditional log burners keep the house warm and cozy making it the perfect retreat for all year round. The area is particularly popular in the Autumn and Winter months with walkers who come to enjoy the beautiful countryside in the more comfortable temperatures then those of the summer months.
From any one of the 3 large terreces you can sit, relax and enjoy a glass of local wine whilst watching the sun set over the valley. After dinner just lay back and see how many stars you can name and count in the flawless night sky.
